When I moved to Tampa from Illinois, I hired a local moving company, hoping for a smooth transition. Unfortunately, I had one of the worst experiences imaginable. The pricing was outrageous, and the way they handled my belongings was careless. Some of my most valuable items were broken or damaged, and when I brought it to their attention, they showed no remorse, nor did they offer any compensation. Needless to say, I was frustrated.
Thankfully, my grandmother raised me with a lesson that stuck: never complain about a problem if you have the ability to provide a solution. With that in mind, I set out to create Burton Moves with two clear goals:
1. To raise the standard in the moving industry and put companies like the one I hired out of business
because they don't deserve to be in this line of work.
2. To give customers the kind of experience I wish I had received. Moving is a vulnerable time; you're trusting strangers with your most prized possessions, and that trust should never be taken lightly.
